Real Madrid brings Apple Immersive Video to Tour Bernabéu with Spatial Companion
Offline playback, one-command synchronisation and a branded waiting screen turned a demanding Apple Immersive Video into a dependable museum experience.

Issue
Bernabéu Infinito opened at Tour Bernabéu on 15 July 2026. Developed by Real Madrid with Apple, the experience gives museum visitors access to Real Madrid: The Weight of Greatness through Apple Vision Pro.
The 20-minute documentary follows a UEFA Champions League match day between Real Madrid and Juventus. More than 30 cameras captured the production in Apple Immersive Video, combining 180-degree stereoscopic 3D, 8K imagery and Spatial Audio. Subtitles make the experience accessible to an international audience while retaining the players' original voices.
This was the first public opening of the experience. For many museum visitors, it was also their first time wearing Apple Vision Pro. Real Madrid needed to preserve the quality of the film while turning it into a repeatable, staff-operated experience for groups of ten people.

Problem
The quality that makes Apple Immersive Video compelling also creates a practical challenge in a public venue. A high-resolution stereoscopic film with Spatial Audio is a substantial media asset, while internet connectivity in museums and event spaces can be inconsistent or constrained by other network traffic.
Streaming the film to ten devices during each visit would have made the experience dependent on available bandwidth. Starting every headset manually would also have introduced delays between visitors, increased the workload for museum staff and made it difficult to confirm that the whole group was watching the same moment.
Real Madrid therefore needed to control ten Apple Vision Pro headsets at once, start the documentary in sync and verify that playback had begun correctly. The interface also had to feel like part of Bernabéu Infinito, rather than expose visitors to a third-party application while they waited.
Solution
Spatial Companion was adapted for a dedicated, white-label deployment inside the Real Madrid Museum. The film was prepared locally on each Apple Vision Pro, removing the need for internet access or live streaming during a session.
From the Spatial Companion control app, the operator could prepare the group and start the film across all ten devices with one operator command. Automatic synchronisation kept the headsets aligned, while the control interface allowed staff to check that playback had started across the group.
Before the official start, visitors saw a waiting environment carrying the Real Madrid logo. This maintained brand continuity and gave the operator time to make sure every guest was comfortable and ready.
Local playback removed dependence on venue bandwidth during the film.
One control app started and synchronised all ten Apple Vision Pro devices.
A custom Real Madrid waiting screen preserved the identity of the experience.
Once the group was ready, the operator pressed play and all ten visitors entered the documentary together. The technical workflow remained in the hands of the museum team, while guests could focus on the players, the match and the atmosphere of the Santiago Bernabéu.

Insights
The installation shows that the public delivery of immersive content requires as much attention as its production. A film can offer exceptional image and sound quality, but the visitor experience still depends on reliable playback, clear operator control and a consistent start for the whole group.
As of September 2026, results have exceeded 19,000 viewing hours and 4,500 viewings. Bernabéu Infinito remains active within Tour Bernabéu, turning the documentary into an ongoing museum experience rather than a one-off technology demonstration.
Synchronising ten Apple Immersive Video sessions for a client of Real Madrid's stature, with content of this quality, was a serious operational challenge. We needed every headset to start together and the operator to know that each one was running. Spatial Companion reduced that complexity to one command. Our team kept the technology in the background and delivered the precise, dependable execution the experience required."
