Get to know the Spatial Companion app for iPhone - from the Welcome page and Dashboard to managing Devices and guiding sessions with Live View.

Overview

  1. Open the Spatial Companion for iOS application.
  2. Use the app as a control centre to manage Spatial Computing experiences on Apple Vision Pro.
  3. Upload content by accessing the relevant upload sections within the app.
  4. Orchestrate experiences by selecting and managing uploaded content.
  5. Guide users remotely by using the available controls and features in real time.

Welcome page

  1. Open the application.
  2. View the Welcome page displayed on launch.
  3. Read the overview information presented on the screen.
  4. Swipe left or right to navigate through the different sections of the Welcome page.
  5. Continue swiping until you have reviewed all available sections.

Dashboard

  1. Open the application to access the Dashboard (default landing page).
  2. View all uploaded files displayed under “All content”.
  3. To filter content:
    • Locate the categories to the right of “All content”.
    • Tap a category to display only files within that category.
  4. To search for content:
    • Tap the Search Bar.
    • Enter the name under which the content was saved.
  5. To sort content:
    • Tap the button to the right of the Search Bar.
    • Select sorting by alphabetical order (A to Z or Z to A) or by date (newest to oldest or oldest to newest).

Devices

  1. Navigate to the ‘Devices’ screen.
  2. View the list of devices connected to your mobile device.
  3. Check the status of an Apple Vision Pro device:
    • If the rectangle is grey, the device is not connected.
    • If the rectangle is coloured, the device is connected.

Live View

  1. Ensure that the Apple Vision Pro is connected to your device.
  2. Open the ‘Live View’ screen.
  3. Observe the display showing what the headset wearer can see.
  4. Use the buttons within the display area to:
    • Control what is shown.
    • Control available interactions.
  5. Adjust controls based on the type of file being displayed.
